I’m a Flasher… Are You?

Hi, I’m Brooklyn and I’m a Flasher. No, not that kind of flasher. Let me explain.

I have a special knack for getting really obsessed about things for a limited amount of time. For instance I have been Obsessed about becoming a club DJ, competing in fitness contests, learning how to beat box, be a writer, be an artist, travel the world, master a few instruments, be a music producer, make movies, have an online business…. you get the idea.

Now, these Flash Obsessions are just that. Flash Obsessions! I become EXTREEMLY interested in a subject for a small amount of time which could be a few months, a few weeks, a few days, or even a few hours!

One interest leads organically to the next without me even realizing that I had completely gone off track from the original subject.

I do not mind having this be part of my personality. You might even know someone like me, or you might be a flasher yourself. It is a positive quality to have in my opinion. Life is too boring to have just one interest the whole time. I love to explore and be creative. This is how life is meant to be lived!

I do admit that there is moments of frustration. The people around a Flasher tend to appreciate it a little less then the Flasher does. As far as being a Flasher, the most frustrating part is not completing the obsessions.

This is why I created Flash Obsessions (the blog). This is my attempt to find out the best tools for Flashers to focus on a subject, set a goal, and consciously complete the goal, or consciously move on to the next Flash Obsession.

Hopefully www.FlashObsessions.com will be less of a Flash, and more of an Obsession for me.
